In a shocking development, Seo Won Jeong, a renowned TikToker in South Korea with a massive following of 55.6 million, has been arrested on charges of sexual assault against a woman. The TikToker, famously known for his viral catchphrase “MAMA,” which gained popularity through his creative content, is now facing potential legal consequences.

Seo Won Jeong, also known as “WonJeongMan” or @ox_zung, had become a household name in South Korea and beyond, known for his entertaining and engaging TikTok content. With an unprecedented following of 55.6 million, he was considered one of the most influential content creators on the platform. Abrupt Disappearance and Recent Arrest

Several months ago, Seo abruptly stopped posting content on TikTok without providing any prior explanation, leaving fans curious about his sudden disappearance. Recently, South Korean broadcaster SBS reported that Seo Won Jeong, identified as “Person A,” along with another man, has been arrested for the sexual assault of a woman referred to as “Person B.

Allegations and Police Response

According to detailed reports, Seo and the other man had been drinking with the woman before taking her to the man’s residence, where the alleged sexual assault occurred. Person B reportedly called the police, claiming to have heard recording sounds upon waking up from a state of unconsciousness, stating she had been sexually assaulted by both men.

Police attempting to investigate the scene were met with resistance, as Seo allegedly refused to open the door, leading to the intervention of the fire department to break in.

As a result of the investigation, the Gangnam Seoul Police Department transferred the case to the prosecutor’s office. As of December 15, Seo is facing a potential sentence of seven years in prison if convicted of sexually assaulting an incapacitated victim.

Although the charges of illegal video recording were dropped due to a lack of evidence found in Seo’s phone, he asserts that any sexual activity was consensual. The truth is expected to be revealed during the upcoming court trial scheduled for January 17, 2024.
